Job Description

As a Platform Engineer at Product Hub, your main responsibility will be to ensure the continuous availability, performance, security, and scalability of the Product Hub platform hosted on AWS. This involves managing the cloud infrastructure, performing routine maintenance, and implementing improvements aligned with business and technical requirements. You will work on tasks such as managing AWS services like EC2, S3/EFS/EBS, DataSync, Storage Gateway, RDS/Aurora, ECS/EKS, CloudFront, Route 53, ELB, and VPC.
Additionally, you will be responsible for managing cloud infrastructure changes through OpenTofu/Terraform, defining and implementing architectural changes, and optimizing infrastructure spend applying FinOps best practices. You will collaborate with development teams to implement infrastructure solutions, attend cloud, security, and shared service meetings, and support infrastructure deployments on-prem, multi-region, and multi-cloud environments.

In terms of maintenance and upkeep, you will apply regular OS, application, and database updates, rotate EC2 AMIs and credentials per security policy, perform scheduled backups and recovery testing, and optimize performance through right-sizing, scaling, and upgrades.
For security and compliance, you will enforce IAM best practices, use tools like Wiz, Tenable for compliance and threat detection, encrypt data using KMS and TLS, conduct regular security reviews and audits, define and maintain a disaster recovery plan, and integrate with Company core services.
You will also be responsible for defining, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, integrating code quality and security tools, creating Docker images, using Chef for configuration management, overseeing GitLab organization workflows, and automating tasks with AWS Lambda and other tools.

In terms of monitoring and reporting, you will define, implement, and maintain monitoring with tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, create dashboards and alerts for system metrics, provide executive reports on uptime, performance, and incidents, recommend improvements based on analytics, and maintain documentation and SOPs.
You will also assist with training and onboarding, and provide 24x7 on-call support for infrastructure, database, CI/CD, automation, and application-related issues.
The required skills for this role include expertise in AWS, DevOps, Grafana, and Datadog.,
