Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

Skilled Electrical Engineer with 6–8 years of experience in Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects. The candidate will be responsible for the design, engineering, and technical support of power transmission and distribution systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical design and engineering calculations for transmission and distribution systems.
• Design overhead transmission lines and distribution networks.

• Prepare line diagrams (SLD), layout drawings, and schematics.
• Develop earthing, lightning protection, and cable routing designs.
• Perform voltage drop calculations, lighting calculations
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical specifications for equipment.
• Coordinate with civil, procurement, and project teams during design and execution.
• Review and approve vendor drawings and technical documents.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards such as IEC, IEEE, IS, and utility standards.
• Provide technical support during project execution and commissioning.
• Assist in tender documentation and technical proposal preparation.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Transmission & Distribution system design.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar electrical design software.
• Understanding of substation layouts and equipment selection.
• Knowledge of HT/LT systems, transformers, switchgear, and protection systems.
• Familiarity with electrical design standards and codes.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
