Job Description
- Role Overview:
As an Apprentice Trainee in the Sales Engineering team at Arista Networks, you will have the opportunity to work alongside industry experts and technical leaders. Reporting to the System Engineering Manager, you will collaborate with skilled field engineers to align solutions with clients" business goals and contribute to product development and strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with skilled field engineers to align solutions with clients" larger business goals.
- Work closely with Product Management and Software Development teams to steer product developments and strategic direction.
Qualifications Required:
- Pursuing or recently completed a BE/BS/CS/CE technical degree.
- Interest in obtaining Network Industry Certifications (e.g., CCIE (R&S), JNCIE) preferred.
- Strong foundational knowledge in L2/L3 networking design and implementation.
- Familiarity with routing and switching, including L2/L3 protocols (Cisco, Juniper, Extreme, Aruba).
- Interest in Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Pre-Sales SE, or Network Consulting Engineering.
- Basic knowledge of network overlays preferred.
- Understanding of Ethernet, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, BGP, eBGP, VxLAN, EVPN, Multicast, Spanning Tree, and QoS.
- Familiarity with industry-standard CLI.

- Interest in SDN and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) desired.
- Basic programming skills in Python and Ansible for network automation.
- Awareness of competitive products, solutions, and services.
- Ability to write white papers is a plus.
