Job Description
- Role Overview:
You will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing SQL databases both on-premises and on Azure. Your role will involve supporting migration, upgrades, and performance tuning activities. Additionally, you will implement database security, backup, and recovery strategies, ensuring availability and scalability in collaboration with the Data Team Lead and business stakeholders. Your troubleshooting skills will be crucial in providing proactive solutions, and you will document processes and facilitate knowledge transfer as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, monitor, and optimize SQL databases on-premises and on Azure.
- Support migration, upgrades, and performance tuning activities.
- Collaborate with the Data Team Lead and business stakeholders to ensure availability and scalability.
- Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide proactive solutions.
- Document processes and provide knowledge transfer as needed.
Qualifications Required:
- Proven 8+ years of experience in SQL Database Administration for on-premises and Azure environments.
