Job Description
- Role Overview:
As a SQL Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing SQL databases both on-premises and on Azure. You will support migration, upgrades, and performance tuning activities, implement database security measures, and collaborate with the Data Team Lead and business stakeholders to ensure availability and scalability. Your role will also involve troubleshooting database-related issues and providing proactive solutions, along with documenting processes and facilitating knowledge transfer as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, monitor, and optimize SQL databases on-premises and on Azure.
- Support migration, upgrades, and performance tuning activities.
- Implement database security, backup, and recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with the Data Team Lead and business stakeholders to ensure availability and scalability.
- Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide proactive solutions.
- Document processes and provide knowledge transfer as needed.
Qualifications Required:
- Proven 8+ years of experience in SQL Database Administration on-premises and on Azure.
