About the Opportunity

We are currently looking for an independent and results-oriented CFO/Director of Finance for multiple portfolio companies across India. The candidate will be a strategic business advisor to the Founders and will ensure that the finance function is structured such that it allows the company to continue to grow fast with a sharp focus on financial health. The candidate will work with the leadership teams and board members across all growth aspects of the company. As part of the leadership team, the candidate should provide vision and ideas for scaling the business, and be willing to tackle any problem that may arise in the growth journey.

Location: NCR/Bangalore/Pune/Mumbai

Responsibilities

• Provide inputs for business strategy including long-term business plans


• Develop the corporate fundraising strategy and manage relationships with partners/investors


• Build world-class financial control function and processes to ensure full financial compliance



• Provide financial analysis to help data driven decision making process across the organisation


• Provide the leadership team with financial and business/strategic planning support - deep insights regarding revenue growth, cost efficiency & profitability


• Drive the financial planning of the company and retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position


• Support rapid global expansion by managing key financial controls across the company


• Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the management reporting process


• Assisting in tax and regulatory reporting requirements of Global and India entities


• Monitor/develop action plans to proactively manage capital requirements/cash burn


• Meet local and regulatory reporting requirements, including engagement with the local audit team and relevant regulators, as required


• Manage and supervise all accounting and finance personnel (management accountants, internal auditors etc.)

Requirements:

• Experience – 5+ years


• Should have completed education with a specialisation in Finance – CA,CFA, FRM, MBA(Finance), etc.


• Experience in top consulting firms like McKinsey, Bain, BCG, etc is preferred


• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role is preferred


• In-depth knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, legal knowhow and best practices


• Strong understanding of FP&A and financial forecasting


• An analytical mind with strategic ability


• Excellent organizational and leadership skills


• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities


• Self-motivated individual who can work under their own initiative
