Job Description
Job Summary:
The HR Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the Human Resources function at the hotel, ensuring alignment with company policies and hospitality industry standards. The role involves overseeing recruitment, training, performance management, employee engagement, statutory compliance, and maintaining a positive work culture that supports the hotels operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Staffing
- Plan and execute manpower requirements as per operational needs.
- Handle end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes.
- Maintain an active database of potential candidates for all departments.
- Coordinate with department heads to forecast staffing requirements.
2. Training & Development
- Identify training needs and prepare annual training calendars.
- Conduct orientation and skill enhancement programs for employees.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and maintain training records.
- Support leadership development initiatives within the property.
3. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Maintain healthy employee relations and address grievances promptly.
- Drive employee engagement programs and welfare activities.
- Promote positive workplace culture through effective communication.
- Conduct regular employee feedback sessions and action follow-ups.
4. Performance Management
- Implement performance appraisal systems aligned with company goals.
- Support HODs in setting KRAs and monitoring employee performance.
- Recommend recognition and reward programs for high performers.
5. HR Operations & Administration
- Maintain accurate employee records, attendance, and leave management.
- Oversee payroll coordination and statutory deductions.
- Manage uniforms, ID cards, and HR-related materials.
- Ensure discipline, adherence to code of conduct, and grooming standards.
6. Compliance & Legal
- Ensure compliance with statutory and labor laws (PF, ESI, Gratuity, etc.).
- Liaise with government authorities and labor offices as required.
- Maintain all HR-related statutory registers and records.

7. Safety & Welfare
- Ensure a safe and harassment-free workplace.
- Lead POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) and safety awareness programs.
- Implement welfare measures to promote employee well-being.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of HR processes, statutory compliances, and labor laws.
- Proactive and people-oriented leadership.
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS software.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate / Postgraduate in HR Management or Hospitality Management.
- 10-15 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in the hotel industry.
- Exposure to multi-property or pre-opening hotel HR operations preferred.Role & responsibilities
