Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. BC Operations Coordination

  • Oversee and coordinate activities of assigned BC companies and their field agents.
  • Ensure timely activation, service availability, and operational efficiency of BC outlets.
  • Track and resolve operational issues such as cash management, AEPS transactions, account opening, and system downtime.
  • Conduct periodic review meetings with BC partners to discuss performance, compliance, and improvement plans.

2. MIS, Data Analysis & Dashboards

  • Collect, validate, and consolidate data from multiple BC partners for daily, weekly, and monthly MIS.
  • Analyze key performance metrics such as transactions, customer onboarding, CSP activity levels, and financial inclusion targets.
  • Design and maintain dashboards (e.g., in Excel, Power BI, or Tableau) for real-time monitoring of BC performance.
  • Provide actionable insights and trend analysis to management for strategic decision-making.
  • Support internal and regulatory reporting requirements by preparing accurate and timely reports.

3. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all BC operations adhere to RBIs Business Correspondent guidelines, KYC/AML standards, and bank’s internal policies.
  • Coordinate with Compliance, Risk, and Audit teams for data submissions, inspections, and corrective action tracking.
  • Maintain proper documentation and audit trails of BC-related transactions and communications.

4. Partner & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for BC companies and ensure timely resolution of queries.
  • Liaise with IT, Operations, and Business teams for system or process-related issues affecting BC operations.
  • Facilitate communication between the bank and BC partners on new initiatives, circulars, and process changes.

5. Reporting & Management Insights

  • Prepare management reports highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), risk areas, and recommendations.
  • Support periodic presentations to senior management, audit committees, or regulatory review forums.
  • Track SLAs and vendor performance metrics against contractual obligations.

6. Field Monitoring & Training Support

  • Conduct or coordinate field visits to monitor BC agent operations, customer service, and infrastructure.
  • Support capacity-building initiatives for BC supervisors and agents on processes and compliance norms.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Graduate / Postgraduate in Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • Experience: 5–7 years of experience in banking operations, financial inclusion, MIS/reporting, or channel management.
  • Preferred Background: Experience in BC operations, digital banking, or data analysis in a regulated environment.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of RBI’s BC model and financial inclusion ecosystem.
  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced), Power BI, SQL, or similar reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Strong coordination and communication abilities (with internal and external stakeholders).
  • Attention to detail, data accuracy, and documentation discipline.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Accuracy and timeliness of MIS and dashboards.
  • BC performance metrics (active outlets, transaction growth, service uptime).
  • Compliance/audit rating for BC operations.
  • Turnaround time for issue resolution.
  • Stakeholder and management satisfaction with reporting insights.
