Research Engineer – 01 No. (ARAI Contract)

ARAI, Pune is a premier Automotive Research Institute, with the Ministry of Heavy Industries, involved in R&D, Homologation, Testing & Certification, Calibration & Skill Development services to Automotive and Allied industries globally.

We are looking for the following position for our Fatigue and Materials Centre of Excellence (FMCE) Department

Designation: Research Engineer – 01 No. (ARAI Contract)

Location: ARAI- Homologation and Technology Centre, Chakan

The candidate should be B. Tech / M. Tech in Mechanical Engineer (Simulation Engineer) from reputed University with First Class and up to 0-2 years of industrial experience.

Candidate poses necessary skills and experience should apply for the position.

Basic knowledge of Fatigue Theories and Test approaches

Understanding of SoM and forces acting on test component due to external factors.

Knowledge of Degrees-of-Freedom in Vibration and Load Transfer Path.

Knowledge/Conversant with basic data loggers and various transducers such as strain gages, accelerometers, LVDTs and load cells.

Knowledge of Test Setup for Multi-Axial Testing Rigs.

Knowledge of in-lab simulation with understanding of closed-loop feedback system.

Develop, plan and execute vibration (Sine, Random, SoR, RoR) and shock tests, evaluate test results, write test reports by interacting with customers for test requirements.

Knowledge/Conversant with basic digital signal processing such as PSD Analysis, Data filtering & FRF Analysis.

Knowledge/Conversant in data analysis techniques like rainflow analysis, damage counting, fatigue life analysis (SN-EN) etc. to formulate accelerated test recipe from RLDA/Proving ground data.

Awareness of Quality systems like ISO, NABL etc
