Job Description
- As an Area Sales Manager/Regional Sales Manager based in Bangalore, your primary responsibility is to manage the entire region and meet sales number goals for yourself and your team. You will be in charge of territory management, performance management, and review management, while also building relationships with key stakeholders. Emphasizing excellence, negotiation, and tender management are crucial aspects of this role. You must be results-driven, excel in sales planning and forecasting, manage profitability, oversee distribution, handle AR collections, and effectively manage customer relationships.
Your duties will include meeting regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, analyzing variances, and taking corrective actions as needed. You will expand the customer base by driving your team, maintaining rapport with key customers, and identifying new opportunities in key accounts. Implementing marketing and sales campaigns, tracking marketing spend, and ensuring effective distribution management are also part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will be responsible for updating knowledge within your team, driving sales of new products, and monitoring competition activities in the region.
