- As an AI Engineering Manager/ Technical Leader (Computer Vision) at Avathon, you will play a crucial role in revolutionizing industrial AI by leveraging a powerful platform to unlock the full potential of operational data. Your responsibilities will include leading a team of AI engineers specializing in computer vision, deep learning, and backend services. Here's a breakdown of what to expect in this role:
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of AI engineers focusing on computer vision, deep learning, and backend services. You will oversee the complete development lifecycle of computer vision models and scalable backend systems.
- Drive the technical strategy and roadmap for AI-driven visual perception and backend solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business goals with engineering execution, including product management, data science, and UX design.
- Ensure ethical AI practices, fairness, and bias mitigation in computer vision applications.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, computer vision, and backend technologies to incorporate relevant techniques.
- Drive operational excellence by monitoring system performance, reliability, and security. Also, ensure adherence to accessibility, security, and compliance standards.
- Establish best practices for mobile architecture, development, and DevOps pipelines.
**Required Qualifications:**

- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role as a Principal Engineering or Lead Scientist or Lead Development Engineer.
- Good expertise in computer vision, deep learning, and AI model development. Preferably experience in YOLO object detection algorithm or similar Convolutional Neural Network algorithms.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, or another relevant programming language. Experience with cloud-based AI solutions (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and scalable backend infrastructure.
- Prior experience in cutting-edge technologies impacting autonomous vehicles, healthcare, robotics, and augmented reality is preferred.
