With its in-house engineering, procurement and construction expertise and advanced in-house operations and maintenance capability, Azure Power provides low-cost and reliable clean power solutions to customers throughout India. It has developed, constructed and operated projects of varying sizes since its inception in 2008. We are targeting to triple the size of the business within the next 5 years. This will entail working on projects with advanced designs and multiple technologies such as solar, wind, battery and grids. Azure targets to build its new pipeline of assets both organically and inorganically. We are looking for experienced enthusiastic candidates to join the journey.
Position: Head - Asset Management
Reporting to: CEO
Long-term objectives:

- Responsible for Operations and Maintenance of all solar/wind/hybrid/batteries power plants (commissioned) across Pan India. Role will be responsible for ensuring timely billing to Discom as per the generation and transmission of renewable power to grid (Discom) according to plant capacity (across pan India) in MW as defined / mentioned in the respective Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).

- Responsible for ensuring Plant Maintenance and take corrective / proactive measures required for smooth operations of the plant for designed life and beyond.

- Ensuring that sites are prepared / ready for Investors Visit from time to time.
Job Responsibilities:

Asset Strategy Development:

- Develop and execute comprehensive asset management plans that outline strategies for effective utilization, maintenance, Upgradation of the existing assets

- Ensure alignment of asset management strategies with the organization's financial and operational goals.

- Responsible for ensuring generation of plants by meeting Potential for all the renewable power plants across Pan India as per the designed Capacity and PPA aiming at Profit Maximisation.

- Develop, integrate, and operate a technical monitoring platform for the existing and future portfolio

- Ensuring site security is adequate for Plant Premises, Manpower, and Plant Equipment.

- Monitoring & control of all O&M Contracts/ expenses - expense approvals as per budget.

- Ensure timely and accurate billing of the plant takes place to aid Revenue Generation.

- Complete monitoring of Plant Performance (across Pan India locations) through Regional Heads / State Heads and take corrective measures wherever applicable.

- Complete accountability for ensuring the Uptime - Plant Availability for Generation.

- Complete accountability for Plant Maintenance - Predictive, Operative and Preventive Maintenance and adherence to the schedule.

- Ensure regular Site Audits happen and Investors' requirements are met from time to time.

- Adherence to HSE&S Norms - ISO Audit - 14001 and 9001. Control On Documentation

- Training and Development of manpower on Best O&M Practices / Security Measures.

- Effectively lead the teams at sites and keep them motivated for enhanced performances.

- Suggest modifications and innovative practices in Plant O&M from time to time for ensuring continued and better effectiveness.

- Travel as required to various locations time to time basis.

- Ensure and implement companywide effective security management (Human and Technology)

- Development of axillary services of repairs of Inverter components (PCB) in house.
Desired Experience and Competencies:

- BE / BTech Electrical with 18-24 years' of work experience in a similar role(heading at zonal / departmental level)

- Sound conceptual knowledge in Operations and Maintenance of solar/wind/ hybrid power plants

- Good understanding of components and electrical equipments - AC and DC Side

- Good understanding of security norms - Security Contracts and Security Supervision at Site level.

- Team handling exposure

- Excellent communication skills

- Must have handled Compliances and Lisoning at Site / Discom level with Government authorities /

Police / Administration etc..

- Adherence to Corporate Governance norms and procedures

- Dynamic and leadership oriented

- Good practical understanding and knowledge of solar power business (Generation and Transmission)
