Overall purpose of role

This is a hybrid role, with responsibility for managing fiduciary deposit bookings, product management activity across EME and supporting Cash & Liquidity Specialists.

Fiduciary deposit dealers handle fiduciary clients deals with external and internal counterparties from a booking and pricing perspective. They follow the process on pre and post trade basis, support any clients, counterparties or Back Office requests and are responsible to escalate any issue.

Product Managers are responsible for articulating the end-to-end product needs, risk and control requirements, and operational requirements to deliver their product in a controlled, regulatory and conduct compliant manner.They will partner with Chief Operating Officer (COO), Risk Oversight & Control (ROC), Finance, Treasury and other stakeholders to achieve this.

Cash & Liquidity Specialists are responsible for achieving of the banking business objectives (financial, quality and conduct) for their business area. The role holder will work with bankers, private bankers executives, Treasury and the local Cash and Liquidity Specialists to win, retain and optimize balance sheet deposits.

Key Accountabilities

1.Manage Term Deposits Processing and fiduciary activities (50%)

·Manage the fiduciary activity from Geneva and Middle East (Call Notice, TD position) – Fiduciary service onto the Monaco platform

·Check that the client trades have the correct approval in place (Deal Pricing Forum/CLS discretion)

·Manage the Call rates changes

·Surpervize the Geneva and Middle East fiduciary trade booking across all their counterparties

·Manage third party relationship to cover client needs for the fiduciary activity

·Check and validate all the bespoke and non-standard Term Deposit flows

·Publish daily standard rates to Front Office

·Monitor banking products are correctly booked in systems to avoid anomalies

·Report anomalies if any and seek resolution with help of Distribution and Products Teams

2.Manage Product Lifecycle & Maintenance, contribute to Banking Product Strategy and take local ownership of Banking Product Launch (35%)

·

·Provide MI to central teams with regards to success of local implementation of the product strategy (product take up, campaign performance, product mix…)

·Act as Europe coordinator for Banking product projects

·Actively contribute to the project scope and solutions design (booking, controls…) including AVALOQ system solutions

·Build product SME knowledge to support problem solving

·Coordinate with local stakeholders (Legal, Compliance, CAM, Front Office, Distributions, Finance…) to ensure smooth product deployment/change

·Drive UATs by providing test scripts and working closely with local users

·Ensure effective project hand over to BAU teams (i.e. Distribution, Front Office…) and provide support during transition period

·Log IT incidents linked to Banking product, and track to resolution

·Prioritization of defect resolution working with central product teams (ensure budget has been secured to that effect)

·Review procedures and update process documentation if required

3.Banking Distribution Support Coverage (15%)

·Maintain accurate CRM/Pipeline data set to include in weekly MI

·Keep track of inflow/outflow reasons to include in weekly MI Provide bankers with client bespoke letter template and perform 4 eyes check before submitting to Head of Banking EME for signature

·Prepare Deal Forum cases and track the sanction expiries – update central team on progress

·Approve booking in AVALOQ of Monaco Bespoke deposit based on approvals granted by CLS (Notice Account for now, TD soon to come)

·Help bankers/PBE with the booking process of Banking product in AVALOQ (reinforce written procedure if required)

·Prepare book review to proactively build pipeline and anticipate upcoming maturities and optimize margin

Risk and Control Objective

Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards

·With support of COO, ROC and other functional areas, ensures compliance with relevant regulation, legislation and good market practice.

·Ensures strong controls are built into new processes and existing controls maintained/enhanced

·Ensures familiarity and compliance with all Bank policies and processes.

·Responsible for contributing to a work environment for the Banking Distribution team that drives results and positively energises and challenges team members.

·The role holder will be analytical, thorough, rigorous and able to form sound judgements.

·The role holder will be results and commercially oriented but will have a clear view of the right balance between all aspects of the balance scorecard i.e. clients, colleagues, conduct, company and citizenship.

·The role holder will be very able at managing relationships within and across a complex matrix organisation.
