Job Description
- Join us as a Senior Front End Developer specializing in React and React Native at Barclays. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and leading the implementation of high-quality user interfaces for web and mobile applications. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, backend developers, and product managers, you will create seamless and engaging user experiences. Your role as a technical lead will involve guiding the team, enforcing best practices, and ensuring timely delivery of high-performance applications. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with:
- Deep understanding of React.js, React Native, Redux, and React Hooks.
- Experience with UI frameworks like Material-UI, Ant Design, or Styled Components.
- Expertise in RESTful APIs and integrating backend services.
- Experience in mobile development (iOS & Android) with React Native CLI & Expo.
- Hands-on experience with Webpack, Babel, and performance optimization techniques.
- Strong knowledge of unit testing (Jest, React Testing Library, Enzyme) and E2E testing (Cypress, Detox).
- Experience with state management (Redux) and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab).

- Ability to work in fast-paced, Agile environments.
- Knowledge of Micro Frontend Architecture.

Purpose of the role:
To design, develop, and improve software utilizing various engineering methodologies to provide business, platform, and technology capabilities for customers and colleagues.

- Cross-functional collaboration to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

- Stay informed of industry technology trends, actively contribute to technology communities, and ensure secure coding practices.
- Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
