Job Description

    Join Barclays as a Product Control - Analyst Macro role, where you will be a part of the PC projects team working closely on identifying and delivering end-to-end solutions for manual problems related to Month-end reporting. Your role will be pivotal in aligning with the overall change aspiration for the bank and looking at the reporting architecture holistically. This will involve liaising with line teams, understanding their book or work, identifying gaps, and assisting in automating and transforming processes to create efficiencies and scalable solutions.     To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills:
    - Any accounting background related qualification.
    - Experience in transformation-related roles.
    - Six Sigma or other comparable solution-oriented qualifications.
    - Passion for driving change and interest in automation.
    - Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    Some other highly valued skills may include:
    - Previous experience in a similar industry.
    - Any tech coding related experience.
    You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in the role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
    This role is based in our Chennai and Pune offices.
    **Purpose of the Role:**
    To oversee the financial aspects of trading activities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the bank's trading book, maintenance of compliance with regulatory requirements, and provision of insights into trading performance.
    **Accountabilities:**
    - Reconciliation of daily profit and loss (P&L) figures for trading desks to ensure alignment with valued positions in the trading book.
    - Support in identifying, assessing, and mitigating trading risks and reporting on financial risks to senior colleagues.
    - Maintenance and analysis of the bank's trading data for accuracy and completeness, providing insights to traders and senior colleagues.
    - Preparation and submission of regulatory reports to authorities, supporting external audits, and ensuring appropriate reflection of trading activities in financial statements.
    - Effective communication of complex financial information to various stakeholders.
    - Collaboration across functions to ensure a coordinated approach to trading activities.
    **Analyst Expectations:**
    - Perform prescribed activities in a timely manner and to a high standard, consistently driving continuous improvement.
    - Demonstrate in-depth technical knowledge and experience in the assigned area of expertise.
    - Lead and supervise a team, guiding professional development, allocating work requirements, and coordinating team resources.
    - Influence decision-making and manage risk and controls within the area of expertise.
    - Take responsibility for end results of a team's operational processing and activities.
