Job Description
- As a Quantitative Analytics Data Developer Vice President at Barclays, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future by spearheading the evolution of the Risk function. Your primary responsibility will be to support the development and management of models, contributing to the enhancement of infrastructure and analytics within QA WCR & CIB. You will provide end user support for model use, ensuring all activities are in compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise-wide Risk Management Framework, and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards. Your role will also involve ensuring the provision of robust data for modeling purposes, supporting the development of new credit risk models, and maintaining effective stakeholder management, leadership, and decision-making to align with business strategy and risk management.
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Work experience in an analytical/reporting function.
- Experience in data analytics and data development, including data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Understanding of Credit Risk models and working experience with large volumes of data in the financial services domain.
- A degree in a highly numerate applied discipline such as Physical Sciences, Engineering, Operation Research, Mathematics, etc.
- Proficiency in SQL and numerical programming using Python and/or R.
- Stakeholder management experience to effectively communicate data requirements, issues, and ensure clear understanding of usage and limitations.
Additionally, familiarity with Latex document preparation system, working experience with programming languages like C++, C#, or knowledge of Spark will be highly valued.
The role is based in Mumbai, IN.
Purpose of the Role:
The purpose of your role is to design, develop, implement, and support mathematical, statistical, and machine learning models and analytics used in business decision-making.
Key Accountabilities:
- Design analytics and modeling solutions for complex business problems using domain expertise.
- Collaborate with technology to specify dependencies required for analytical solutions.
- Develop high-performing, well-documented analytics and modeling solutions, demonstrating efficacy to business users and validation teams.
- Implement analytics and models in stable, well-tested software and provide ongoing support for their effectiveness.
- Ensure conformance to all Barclays Enterprise Risk Management Policies, particularly Model Risk Policy.
- Undertake all development activities within the defined control environment.
