Hybrid Working

Structured hybrid role:
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Introduction:

As a Barclays Group Finance – SAP Basis Support SME, we are seeking a highly skilled SAP BASIS Support Specialist to join our team. He/she will be responsible for the administration and support of our SAP systems and landscapes, ensuring their smooth operation and high availability. This role requires a strong technical background in SAP BASIS administration, Infra support , excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

What will you be doing?

• Provide day-to-day support and administration of SAP systems, including configuration, and maintenance.
• Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and availability of SAP landscapes.
• Manage transport management system (TMS) and support transports across different SAP environments.
• Handle system backups, recovery, and disaster recovery planning for SAP systems.
• Work closely with the Infrastructure team to ensure proper integration of SAP systems with hardware, storage, and network components.
• Manage system security, user access, and authorization roles in compliance with company guidelines.
• Collaborate with functional teams to support SAP applications and resolve technical issues related to BASIS administration.
• Support system upgrades, patching, and installations of SAP software components.
• Provide expertise in SAP architecture, SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, and other relevant technologies.

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in SAP BASIS administration and Infra support in a complex enterprise environment.
• Strong knowledge of SAP systems, Databases, and UNIX, Linux, Windows. 
• SQL/ PLSQL
• Hands-On experience in SAP solution manager, SAP HANA, and cloud-based SAP platforms.
• Hands-On experience on Backup/Restore/Recovery of SAP HANA/Oracle installations, Server Monitoring and optimizing techniques & HANA Databases
• Oracle SBP Patches & SAP HANA Revision Updates experience
• Python understanding and hands-on will be plus. 
• Understanding /hands-on experience on Observability / Monitoring tool like AppDynamics, Elastic ELK, Kibana, Netcool etc 
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• SAP BASIS certification is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a sense of urgency to resolve critical issues.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
