As a Barclays Senior Java Developer FX, you will be developing a new foreign exchange platform for the Markets department as defined by business requirements and prioritization. You will be part of the architecture discussion and will help to shape the new FX platform that should replace the existing BARX FX offering. New FX platform should be following latest development standards and tech stack and should offer our clients platform that is reliable, scalable and offer better user experience.

What will you be doing?
• Developing solutions to problems both tactical and strategic as the business requires it

What we’re looking for:
• Excellent Java programming skills and excellent knowledge of Spring & Spring Boot
• Experience with multi-threading, performance tuning and devops culture and ci/cd methods and principles 
• Experience of working with a micro service architecture and of Java unit testing practices, Junit or TestNG

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure
• Knowledge of principles and solid grasp of HTTP protocol
• Knowledge of HTML5 / JavaScript –React or Angular, Kafka and of GraphQL

Our Prague office is based in the financial centre of Prague. We are part of the Operations and Technology Division, and as such, we try our best to stay at the top of our technological game.
