As a Barclays Senior Electronic Trading Java Developer, you will be performing activities related to the development, unit testing, deployment, support, and maintenance of an in-house electronic trading application. In your role, you will be helping to define the overall target architecture and engaging in detailed technical discussions with other senior developer(s) and engaging with trading, quant, product teams, partnering with first-line support teams and interacting with lateral functions such as risk, controls, and compliance.

What will you be doing?
• Collaborating with the Business to analyse requirements to find the most appropriate method for incorporating them into new and/or existing systems
• Developing those requirements including making the necessary changes in the internal adapters as well as the vendor system

What we’re looking for:
• Excellent Java programming skills
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Excellent knowledge of Spring & Spring Boot and of standard development and build tools, e.g. GIT, Maven, Gradle, TeamCity, Jenkins
• Significant experience of working with a micro service architecture, cloud infrastructure and principles
