Introduction:

Partnering with India regional business and functional leaders, the India Talent and Development Lead coordinates and reviews all regional Development initiatives and ensures these initiatives are in line with the Barclays Global Development Strategy.

This role also supports delivery of a global catalogue of high quality, cost effective and relevant learning content that will support current and future skills development resulting in improved business performance and career mobility.

This role will support the overall content ecosystem for Barclays. They support the wider Development team in defining our overall content strategy based on the needs and future of the business ensuring that we have content to meet needs readily available

What will you be doing?

• The India Development Lead will oversee talent and leadership development programs in the India region which may include, but is not limited to, professional development, Leadership, Management, Inclusion and Interpersonal training for India


• The India Lead will build a deep understanding of the local business strategy and demonstrate effective end to end HR oversight for development activities to support the local delivery of global offerings.


• The India talent and development Lead will have overall responsibility of implementing the development strategy as it relates to own global product portfolio with accountabilities of:

1. Strategic relationship driver for Global and India HRD and BU engagement providing thought leadership

2. Ensure the regional Development function is appropriately aligned to the broader Barclays’ India and Global TD / HR governance

3. Maintain regional Development governance forum to escalate and remediate key People Risk matters with attention to regulatory requirements.

What we’re looking for:

• Graduate from a reputed institute or university in any discipline. Post Graduate preferred.


• Significant experience of managing and facilitating learning and development programs in area of Organisational/ Managerial and Leadership development, Performance Development, Culture & Values, Organisational design, Knowledge Management


• Experience with talent management and successor development tools and frameworks


• Experience in usage of diagnostic tools / psychometric instruments

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Ability to interact and facilitate discussions with CXO/senior executives


• Strong coaching skills


• Ability to work collaboratively in a virtual and global team


• Strong understanding of end-to end development life cycle of employees.


• Strong stakeholder management


• Ability to build strong networks across functions and business
