What will you be doing?

Barclays Capital Inc. seeks Vice President, Equity Synthetics Sales in New York, NY (multiple positions available)

• Manage the US custom basket platform and offering, with authority to make key decisions on content, branding and execution. Client base is comprised of hedge funds (event driven, multi-strategy, long/short, credit, Quant), asset managers, endowments and other institutional clients
• Manage single stocks, custom basket and index pricing requests and executions
• Advise on implementing trade ideas, portfolio alpha/beta exposure, enhanced balance sheet yield, and derivative roll and spread risk
• Maintain a strong working relationships across internal product groups by working directly with cash, flow derivatives sales, and prime brokerage sales desks to deliver synthetic products to the equities client base
• Deliver the Research content linked thematic baskets, structural trade ideas, market flows; and pricing runs
• Manage desk/client strategy and provide primary coverage of Boston based accounts
• Mentor and train junior members on the desk and help develop an index/ETF internal/external marketing plan
• Supervise and delegate tasks/duties to junior members on the team across vital operational functions

What we’re looking for:

• Employer will accept a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Business, Finance or related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our New York, New York location at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the façade of the building. The building is easily accessible to Restaurants, Shops and Public Transportation.
