Introduction:



This role provides an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to get involved in a wide range of activities with considerable exposure to Finance stakeholders and a platform to influence and drive progress across BX Finance.



What will you be doing?



  • Provide operating leverage to the Internal Reporting AE, supporting strategic and economic decision-making. This includes oversight of all operations of the business, and in some cases, acting as empowered delegate

  • Act as central contact point on behalf of the Internal Reporting AE in coordinating cross-function strategic initiatives

  • Support implementation of business development, change, and control agenda across Internal Reporting

  • Operate in partnership with Human Resources to drive personnel and talent-related initiatives

  • Act as business contact for regulatory initiatives. Duties include oversight of submission of regulatory documents, implementation of legislative initiatives, and partnership with Chief Controls Office and Regulatory Relations teams as required

  • Ensure effective oversight of all organisational/team requirements relating to technology, real estate, people and communications in conjunction with relevant partners across the firm



Strategy and Finance



  • Manage the Internal Reporting FTC budget, outlook, transfers and capacity creation; developing a close relationship with Finance Business Partnering

  • Manage the Internal Reporting FTC HC, hiring and strategic initiatives; closely partnering with HR, Resourcing and the business

  • Drive, influence, and implement Target Operating Model, business development, and financial and non-financial resource allocation, providing strategic insight and thought leadership to the Business/Function head

  • Provide tactical and strategic analysis to influence and inform short and long-term business decision-making

  • Create business material on behalf of Business/Function head spanning multiple topics with both internal and external stakeholders i.e. Board, Group ExCo, Regulators, Industry Groups


Defining and Executing Change:



  • Proactively identify areas for continuous improvement on behalf of the Internal Reporting AE, including creation of efficiencies, control environment enhancements, and strategic value-adds

  • Execute visionary changes on behalf of the Internal Reporting AE, leveraging existing partnerships to implement key pieces of work within existing resource pool



What we’re looking for:



  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Strong Communication skills across a variety of forums and mediums. Proven ability to distil information into key messages and deliver succinctly according to audience

  • Ability to develop business strategy, communicate in clear and confident manner, and act independently to implement, sometimes using creativity in approach

  • Established and evidenced leadership credentials; proven ability to maintain energy and resilience within an organisation throughout a period of change and/or against significant challenges



Skills that will help you in the role:


Experience in operating in a multi-geographic, matrix organisation a plus, with proven ability to balance commercial, client, and regulatory needs across businesses and geographies
