Job Description
Leadership and Strategic Management:
- Assist the CEO in formulating and implementing the banks strategic objectives, policies, and plans.
- Provide leadership to senior management and department heads, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability throughout the bank.
Operational Oversight: Oversee various operational functions, including:
- Branch banking & Business Development
- Treasury
- Risk management
- Compliance
- Customer service
Risk Management:
- Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across the organization.
- Ensure that risk management practices adhere to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Collaborate with the compliance department/ team to ensure the banks operations comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Responding to regulatory inquiries and audits as needed.
Customer and Stakeholder Relations:
- Support efforts to enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen relationships with stakeholders.
- Engage with customers, shareholders, and regulators as needed.
Governance and Board Relations:
- Support the Board of Directors and governance committees in setting policies, reviewing performance, and ensuring transparency and accountability.

The person shall be a Graduate preferably with:
a) Qualification in Banking/ Co-operative Banking such as CAIIB / Diploma in Banking & Finance / Diploma in Co-operative Business Management or equivalent qualification; or
b) Chartered / Cost Accountant / MBA (Finance); or
c) Post Graduate in any discipline.
Professional Experience:
15 plus years of experience in banking, preferably a Co-operative bank and currently in senior management/ leadership role.

- Strong understanding of banking regulations, compliance, and risk management.
- Excellent financial and analytical skills.
- Visionary thinker with the ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and outcomes.
- High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to upholding the values and mission of the bank.
- Proven ability to lead inspire and coach cross-functional teams.
- Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
