Country Group Head Finance, South Asia
POSITION PURPOSE -
Responsible for Treasury & Insurance functions of Bayer Group in India. Render support for smooth functioning of Treasury & Insurance activities in Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
The prima facie responsibility is the Financial Management of each individual company of Bayer Group in South Asia. Collaborate with Business in their growth plans by providing Financial inclusive solutions. Financial planning for ascertaining various financial exposures at each entity level and at Group level (cash surplus /deficit, Foreign Exchange exposures, Interest rate exposures, Investments / Borrowings, Trade Finance ) that are to be managed by means of financial transactions to mitigate business risk.
Your Tasks & Responsibilities
Treasury Operations

• Ensure & manage smooth financial management of each legal entity of the Bayer Group in South Asia.
• Responsible for the Liquidity & Cash Management ensure smooth business continuity and growth.
• Overall Management of Foreign Exchange Risk and Transactions.
• Responsible for the optimal dividend strategy.
• Ensure adequate external banking relations & its coverage.
• Responsible for Investment Strategy along with Reviews of Counterparty Limits along with Investment Product.
• Continuous & Seamless engagement with external financial organizations such as Banks, NBFCs, AMCs, Merchant Bankers etc.
• Responsible for Setting up & Maintenance of Custody (Demat) Accounts for Indian Shareholding.
• Deliver optimal investment management strategy & its periodic review for Bayer Gratuity Funds in India.
  

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure regulatory compliance for financial transactions undertaken especially from FEMA and RBI perspective.
• Responsible for Creating & Managing the set-up of Bank Transactions & Its Authorizers pool.
  
• Ensuring CoFiPot updation & Maintenance.
• Ensure Reporting & Clearance of Export (EDPMS) & Import (IDPMS) transactions with Custom Authorities.
  

Commercial Support & Enablement

• Review and Management of Channel Financing & Grower Financing Programs.
• Responsible for Setting up new Financing Schemes to Support Commercial Organisations.
• Continuous exploration & Pursuit of efficient treasury mechanisms to support Business Growth & enhance Customer Experience.
• Render necessary support/advisory to any Merger & Acquisition / Joint Venture/Divestment activity in India.
  

Investor Relations & Listed Entity (BCSL) CFO/Board Support

• Manage investor relations activities, including timely resolution of investor queries, preparation of investor meeting presentations, and development of expected FAQs to support effective and transparent communication with the investors community.
• Support Listed entity quarterly results steering & investor communication with insights & commentary.
• Perform and Finalise Listed Legal Entity Planning & Budgets.
  

Insurance

• Drive Financial Negotiation in relation to the Employee Insurance Programs for India such as Group Medical, Group Term Programs.
• Co-Ordination points for Global Insurance coverages for Pallas AG with regard to renewals, documentation and claim lodgments and follow ups.
• Analyse the various insurable risks the organization is exposed to, budget for the acceptable deductible and place the residual exposure with insurance companies thereby mitigating the financial risks.

Internal Partners / Customers: Business Group Heads, other enabling departments like Accounting Platform, Tax department, Procurement department, LPC, HR department, etc.
External Partners / Customers: Banks, NBFCs, Mutual Fund Houses, Insurance Companies.
Who You Are

• MBA in Finance and a Certificate Course in Insurance.
• Atleast 15yrs of experience and 4-5 years of experience in a similar position
• Leadership skills to lead and guide the team effectively and efficiently. Ability to create a conducive atmosphere for the team to grow. Effective Communication skills to deal with both internal and external customers.
• Strategical thinking and ability to align the departmental goals with the Company goals. Effective listening abilities and the ability to delegate appropriately. Analytical bent of mind to decipher the most complicated situations and come up with simple solutions. Ability to handle conflict management in an effective and efficient manner.
• Healthy understanding of the economies of countries and dynamic financial markets to take appropriate decisions. Understanding of the regulations like Foreign Exchange Management Act, Central Bank Regulations, Foreign Direct Investment policies.
