About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team at Elliott Davis. This role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our internal technology infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to our staff, managing hardware and software issues, and ensuring seamless operation of our IT systems across multiple office locations. The role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot a wide range of technical issues effectively. As part of our IT team, you will collaborate closely with various departments to support their technological needs and ensure optimal performance of all IT assets.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelors degree in Information Technology or a related field, with 1-2 years of professional experience in IT support or a similar role. Prior experience in technical customer service is highly desirable. Familiarity with Active Directory, workstation imaging, Microsoft System Center, and virtualization platforms such as VMware is essential. Basic knowledge of PowerShell scripting, networking concepts, and cloud technologies will be considered an advantage. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive mindset, capable of independent planning and goal achievement. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to effectively interact with team members and clients. Additionally, the candidate should have a good understanding of cybersecurity and compliance practices, along with analytical and critical-thinking skills to develop innovative solutions. The role requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, with a full-time in-office presence and limited remote work flexibility after the initial training period.
Responsibilities
  • Maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting laptop hardware and software packages, including mobile devices such as Android and iPhone, to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Loading workstations for new hires, including setting up desks and offices with the necessary hardware and software configurations.
  • Creating detailed documentation and user guides to assist end-users in operating various hardware and software platforms effectively.
  • Managing and maintaining the firms internal IT ticketing system to ensure timely resolution of technical issues and support requests.
  • Collaborating with firm members to address technical inquiries, debug issues, and provide strategic recommendations for system improvements.
  • Providing troubleshooting and resolution support for trouble tickets across the firms locations, including phone support, remote assistance, and onsite support as needed.

    Documenting procedures, best practices, and technical processes to streamline support operations and knowledge sharing.
  • Offering technical support and resolution for video conferencing devices and related functionalities to facilitate effective communication within the organization.
  • Managing IT assets issuance, returns, inventory tracking, and documentation to maintain accurate records and accountability.
  • Coordinating with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for technical resolutions, hardware repairs, and maintenance activities to ensure system reliability.
