The Opportunity
BETA is a self-clearing securities processing solution for wealth management firms. Built on years of expert knowledge and hands-on experience, BETA provides critical back-office controls including corporate action management, middle office exception management, and front office account management and trading tools for advisors.
We are currently seeking an experienced and technology-oriented leader to take on the role of?Manager, Development. This is a leadership position in the BETA Product Engineering team that will be responsible to drive innovation and deliver our highest priority strategic initiatives within the organization. This individual will lead a program and team that will support the delivery related to our modernization applications.
About The Team
Reporting to the Associate Director of Bangalore BETA product engineering, this role leads a team of software development professionals working to develop and maintain applications that are part of our core platform. This role requires working closely with product management to design to define requirements and leading the development team from concept through delivery and subsequent operation. This position involves regular communication with senior management on technical development, product strategy, status, and risks.
The office is located in Divyashree Technopolis, Yemaluru, Bangalore, India.

Core Responsibilities Will Include

• Accountable for the successful execution of technology project by following a Systems Development Lifecycle
• Collaborate with and across teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions
• Work with the product and design teams to understand end-user requirements, formulate use cases, and then translate that into a pragmatic and effective technical solution
• 
• Ensure continued functionality of a program during maintenance and testing of software
• Revisit the development process to fix bugs or address client or consumer concerns
• Ensure the team documents each aspect of a system or application as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance
• Dive into difficult problems and successfully lead teams to deliver quality results on schedule
• Assess customer/client needs, creatively approach solutions, decide and influence appropriate courses of action
• Creates trust and credibility with stakeholders/user community and works with them to identify issues and risks that may impact them.
• Creates an environment and workflow that ensures proactive identification of change to prevent problems, including problem resolution workflow.
• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community

Your Experience

• 15+ years of total experience in IT industry

  Get Hired
  5+ years of professional and recent experience leading development teams; preferably in the financial services industry
• Four-year Computer Science degree or equivalent work experience required
• Direct management of cross functional, sourced, or matrixed teams; experience with and significant knowledge of IT outsourcing activities in a managed services environment
• Demonstrated success leading medium- to large-scale initiatives
• Proven experience in IT development across waterfall and agile environments.
• Comfortable communicating at all levels internally and externally in an organization
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving and agile technology environment
• Knowledge of tools such as Atlassian Jira
• Experience of managing teams working on technologies such as Mainframes, IIB, ACE, Angular. Should be able to manage teams across different technologies.
• Ability to translate short and long-range strategic plans from product roadmaps into design and implementation of current and future applications and systems
• Strong financial acumen and understanding of IT Total Cost of Ownership
• Ability to accomplish results through others, particularly by establishing relationships, effective controls and monitoring processes
