Job Description
- As a Senior Test Automation Engineer with strong experience in Katalon Studio, your role will involve the following key responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable automation scripts using Katalon Studio.
- Have at least 3 years of experience scripting on Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Experience with low code no code automation tools would be a plus.
- Lead end-to-end automation testing activities for web, API, and mobile platforms.
- Collaborate closely with QA, DevOps, and development teams to define test strategies and integrate automation into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes of issues, and report defects with detailed logs and screenshots.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
- Continuously optimize and enhance automation frameworks and test coverage.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in automation, including coding standards, version control, and documentation.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
Qualifications required for this role include:
- 6+ years of experience in QA automation, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience using Katalon Studio.
- Proficient in Groovy/Java scripting and Katalon's built-in keywords and custom keyword development.
- Strong experience with web UI, API, and mobile test automation.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
- Good understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with test management tools like TestRail, JIRA, or Zephyr.
- Familiarity with source control tools like Git.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
