Job Description
Role Overview:
As the Sr. Vice President, India and Global Payroll, you will spearhead the strategic direction and operational excellence of payroll functions across India and our global entities. This pivotal role involves overseeing end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with HR, Finance, Legal, and IT teams, as well as external vendors, to deliver accurate and timely payroll services to our employees worldwide. Your leadership will directly impact employee satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and the overall efficiency of our global operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the India and Global Payroll teams, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Develop and implement payroll strategies that align with the company's global business objectives, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Manage relationships with external payroll vendors and service providers, ensuring service level agreements are met and costs are optimized.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable payroll tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements in India and globally, mitigating potential risks.
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls and audit procedures to safeguard payroll data and ensure data integrity.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline payroll processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce errors.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Legal teams to address payroll-related issues and provide expert guidance on payroll matters.
- Prepare and present regular reports on payroll performance, trends, and compliance to senior management.
- Stay abreast of changes in payroll laws and regulations in India and globally, and implement necessary updates to payroll processes and systems.

- Demonstrated expertise in managing end-to-end payroll operations for large, multinational organizations, with a strong focus on India and global payroll regulations.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing payroll teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Deep understanding of payroll tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements in India and across various global jurisdictions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex payroll issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in using payroll software and systems, such as SAP Payroll, ADP, or Workday.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, GPHR) preferred.
- Adaptable to a dynamic work environment and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- 17-22 years of relevant experience in Payroll, INDIA PAYROLL, and GLOBAL PAYROLL.
