BlitzenX - Technical Director - InsurTech - IIT/NIT/IIM/ISB

About the Role:

We are hiring a Technical Director to lead and scale our rapidly growing InsurTech Delivery Practice. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing enterprise-grade technology strategies for global clients across P&C, Life, and Health insurance sectors. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on domain knowledge in Guidewire and a proven track record of leading cross-functional engineering organizations in high-growth environments.

As a senior technology leader, you will oversee multiple client programs, drive architecture and delivery governance, mentor senior technologists, and define solution accelerators across cloud, data, integrations, and digital platforms. This is a high-impact role designed for technologists who have grown into leadership and can scale large engineering practices aligned with business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology Leadership & Delivery Governance:

- Provide strategic technology oversight for large-scale Guidewire transformation programs (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, and Digital).

- Drive end-to-end ownership of solution design, technical architecture, scalability, and maintainability across multiple client engagements.

- Establish and enforce technical governance, SDLC best practices, and delivery KPIs across engineering squads.

- Lead technical due diligence, client workshops, and platform assessments for complex insurance portfolios.

Practice & Portfolio Management:

- Own and evolve a multi-platform InsurTech delivery portfolio, integrating capabilities in Duck Creek, Majesco, Salesforce, Snowflake, MuleSoft, and cloud-native ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Scale engineering delivery pods (onshore/offshore) aligned with agile/SAFe execution frameworks.

- Manage a team of engineering managers, solution architects, and technical leads, driving performance, accountability, and delivery velocity.

Strategic Growth & Innovation:

- Collaborate with the Practice Head, Sales, and Product Leadership to define client-specific roadmaps, technical proposals, and RFP responses.

- Spearhead accelerator and IP development, including reusable frameworks, automation toolkits, and PoCs that enhance delivery maturity.

- Champion innovation in AI/ML, insurance analytics, digital enablement, and cloud modernization initiatives.

People Leadership & Capability Building:

- Build and mature a high-performance engineering culture through mentorship, career progression, and leadership development programs.

- Lead technical hiring, talent assessment, and upskilling initiatives to grow a future-ready InsurTech workforce.

- Represent the technology function in executive governance forums, client steering committees, and strategic delivery reviews.

Required Qualifications:

14+ years of progressive experience in enterprise software, with:

- 8+ years in Guidewire implementation and architecture (Policy, Billing, Claims, or Digital)

- 5+ years in technical leadership/engineering management roles

- Deep technical expertise in Guidewire configuration, GOSU, Java, API integrations, and performance engineering

- Proven ability to scale technology delivery organizations, drive metrics-based accountability, and manage multi-client portfolios

- Strong experience with cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP), DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, and containerized deployments

- Excellent executive presence, stakeholder management, and client-facing communication skills

- B.tech and MBA from top institute
