Job Description
- You will be joining the team at BNP Paribas India Solutions to work on building robust and resilient PL/SQL components in collaboration with developers in Mumbai and London. Your role will involve providing L3 support, troubleshooting, and maintaining functionalities to meet the business requirements and technological advancements. The application you will be working on is primarily a backend application developed in Oracle PL/SQL, Pro*C with VB.Net based user interface.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop performance critical components in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PL/SQL code.
- Contribute to 3rd line support on a global rotational system.
- Show a steep learning curve to understand application flows.
- Learn about the product and all parts of the system code.
- Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to juniors.
- Own tasks independently across all stages of the SDLC.
- Adhere to agile team practices and processes.
- Provide status reports to technical and functional managers.
**Qualifications Required:**
- Sound knowledge of Software Engineering and Object-Oriented programming.
- Expertise in Oracle PL/SQL.
- Understanding of complex PL/SQL, Pro*C, and Python components.
- Experience in optimizing database performance by tuning SQL queries and PL/SQL code.
- Ability to investigate issues and provide solutions.
- Initiative to take the lead in solving technical problems.
- Can-do attitude focusing on resolving problems in the medium and long term.
- Willingness to put in effort even without explicit requests.
