Job Description
Key highlights of the role are listed below (purely indicative and not limiting):
- Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, policies and procedures in alignment with RBI regulations and board-approved risk appetite
- Lead Risk and Control Self-assessment (RCSA) across business units
- Identify key operational risks including process failures, IT/system risks, outsourcing risks etc.
- Loss event management and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) including performing root cause analysis and recommend preventive and corrective actions
- Track and report operational loss trends to senior management and Board
- Oversee Business Continuity planning (BCP) including conducting periodic BCP/DR testing and ensuring operational resilience across critical functions
- Vendor & outsourcing risk management- assessing and monitor risks arising from third party vendors, outsourcing arrangements in line with RBI regulations
- Conduct training and awareness programs on operational risk and controls
- Define and monitor Risk Appetite Framework (RAF)
- Conduct stress-testing, scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis to assess impact under multiple scenarios including periodic enterprise-wide risk assessments (RCSA, ICAAP, ECL etc.)
- Oversee liquidity risk management and asset-liability management (ALM)
- Maintain and publish Operational Risk Register (ORR) to relevant stakeholders
- Coordinate with Compliance, Legal, internal audit and other stakeholders to address regulatory gaps and risks
- Review SOPs, Risk Control Matrix etc. across business units

- Prepare and present regular risk dashboards for various risk management committees and Board
Applicants should possess the following attributes:
- Deep understanding of operational and enterprise risk, internal controls, and governance
- Strong understanding of RBI regulations related to risk governance and implementation
- Understanding of processes and functions in lending institution
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strategic thinking and ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders including Leaders & senior management.
