About Position / Position Summary

• The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Information Technology Senior Manager to join the SAP S/4 Center of Excellence to manage and run the SAP Platform Operations BASIS and DB team for platform operations in Bengaluru, India.

• The SAP Platform Operations BASIS & DB Manager is responsible for leading SAP Basis, SAP HANA DB, and SAP GRC functions. This team is responsible for maintaining the technical foundation to allow our SAP S/4 landscape to function at a high level, providing excellent service to our application teams and our end users. Through close relationships with SAP S/4 application team, the Manager is responsible for supporting the implementation, configuration, tuning, and monitoring of new SAP S/4 solutions added to our landscape, and supporting any required development by ensuring we balance meeting business requirements while maintaining our objective of a clean core and easily supported environments.

• The individual is expected to be an expert in global organization management with the ability to handle team members dispersed across multiple United States (US) sites as well as other global locations outside of US. strong business acumen and excellent partnership skills are of paramount to work in demanding and highly skilled work environment to collaborate and influence people and decisions from the stakeholders and other IT divisions. The role reports to the Sr Manager and the individual is expected to lead a team of individual contributors in higher levels.

This role will be based out of Bengaluru, India.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manages and integrates employee and first-level manager activities across Information Technologies including infrastructure design and administration, application analysis and design, information management, architecture, computing security, computing project support and/or process analysis

• Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives

• Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  

• Manages and provides developmental opportunities for employees and first-level managers

• Drive end to-end technical design, and in collaboration with delivery teams realization and deployment activities across the enterprise and SIs

• Adopt and establish standards, best practices and processes as needed towards design high quality functional and technical solutions

• Manages the SAP technical landscape, including MDGensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.

• Supports the implementation, configuration, tuning, and monitoring of new SAP solutions, as well as any required development.

• Identifies opportunities for process improvement and automation within the SAP environment.

• Measure, track, and correct outcomes based on metrics including Service Level Agreements (SLA), Key Performance Indicators (KPI), user-experience, and customer satisfaction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• A Bachelors degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION

• 10+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership

• 8+ years of experience within information technology

• 8+ years of experience in organization management

• 8+ years of experience working within a global development team and managing Source to Pay value stream

• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role leading diverse teams, initiatives, or projects to meet business objectives and influence change in SAP S/4 environment

• Experience with SAP Basis administration

• Able to travel both domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience ) :

• 5+ years of experience communicating effectively with multiple levels of an organization

• 5+ years experience in technical project management for SAP Operations

• SAP NetWeaver, OS/DB migration, SAP HANA certifications.

Typical Education & Experience:

• Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 17 Plus years related work experience or Masters Degree with 16+ years of experience with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
