Senior Quantity Surveyor- Fit Out

Job Purpose:

Ensure document management consistency across all projects, maintaining control and traceability of the document from project initiation throughout completion. To provide commercial support to the Commercial team, maintaining commercial information and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and ensure that the Company's objectives are achieved.

Responsibilities

• Review and approval of requisition. Review the bid summary prepared by Procurement and fill in the budget received from Estimation.
• 
  Sign-off on LPOs if in line with the budget.
• Preparation of interim payment application in line with conditions of contract by coordinating with the project manager to value the progress of work at site. Supplement the interim payment application with supporting documents such as highlighted drawings, measurement sheets, inspection request, site work progress report, material delivery notes, photographs etc.
• Coordinate with the client/client's commercial representative to agree on the amount of certification and follow upon certification/approval of interim payment application.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager and internal divisions of the Company to channel any variations generated by these subsidiaries to the client. Finalizing the projects final account in coordination with the project's stakeholders.
• Submission of tax invoice. Identify and notify variations as applicable to client that may occur by means of changes to drawings, specifications, method of work and subcontractor claims in consultation with relevant stake holders.
• Value and submit the variations to client and provide further commercial substantiation if required. Maintain a log of variations submitted to client and potential variations already notified to client. Update the variation log once variations approved by client. Compiling the variation order received from the client together with any supporting documents and take necessary action for internal circulation.
• Oversee the certification of payment to subcontractors and advise the QS/Asst. QS in the certification of subcontractor accounts that may be key to project success.
• Undertaking site visits to take part in commercial coordination meetings and for inspection of site works in regards to preparation of variations, undertaking joint measurements and joint inspections.
• Collecting documents relating to revenue generated by all projects and preparation of work in progress (WIP) reports for usage as Management reporting.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience: 8–12 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably within the interior fit-out, construction, or turnkey project industry in the UAE/GCC region.

Internal Relationships: Project Execution team, Production team, Finance department and other departments as applicable.

External Relationships: Subcontractors, Clients, Consultants, Cost Consultant, etc.
