Practice Area

The Operations Practice (OPS) Area is one of BCGs largest functional practices. We help our clients create competitive advantage by enhancing their performance and building strategic capabilities. BCG’s expertise in Operations covers the following areas - supply chain management, procurement, manufacturing, service operations, cost efficiency, operational transformation, research & product development, program and project management, all with a strong digital and analytics overlay.

What Youll Do

In Supply Chain topic of Ops PA, you will use your expertise & consulting skillset to help CEOs, Chief Supply Chain Officers and their teams solve their most pressing challenges and think about how digital and technology will change the shape of their business and supply chain strategy and operations.
You would help your clients answer questions such as “How can Data & Analytics help me take a quantum leap in my Supply Chain performance?”, “How can I build a resilient & sustainable supply chain to manage & mitigate disruptions better?”, “How can I better sense & deliver on my customers’ expectations with a segmented & targeted supply chain configuration?” and many more.
As a member of our team, you would work on a variety of these topics, applying your consulting skills to uplift clients’ supply chain performance.

As a Consultant in the Supply Chain topic, you will be given end-to-end responsibility for larger and complex “modules” within a BCG project, and begin to develop specialized knowledge to help you solve our clients’ problems. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their issues, create strategies for change, win buy-in for your recommendations, and collaborate with fellow BCGers to transform client potential into performance.
A broad skillset in supply chain, core consulting tool-kit and passion for digital & technology is important. You will be supported by an extensive training curriculum on supply chain & digital to help you build your skills.

Our Expert Consulting Track

The Expert Consulting Track (ECT) is vital to BCG’s ability to successfully meet our clients’ demand for deep expertise and advanced technical capabilities. Experts deliver next-level impact for BCGs most complex and cutting-edge client challenges. Experts focus on developing BCGs thought leadership, commercial capabilities, and intellectual property assets; and their work is essential to our delivery model. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to bring the ‘best of BCG’ to our clients, Experts come from diverse backgrounds, with expertise often gained outside of BCG in industry, academia, or specialized consulting.

What Youll Bring

We are looking for exceptional talent from consulting or industry to join us. You would typically:

o Have been a part of the team(s) which has executed supply chain transformation projects across the areas mentioned above with clear outcome orientation at clients / in your own company across industries (consumer, industrial goods, healthcare / pharma etc.)

o Have authored thought leadership pieces on supply chain topics which have been published internally / externally
o Have been part of supply chain industry forums as a guest speaker / moderator
