IT Data Analyst Graduate Trainee

What You'll Do

Be part of a team that is transforming BCG’s data landscape! We are building a centralized Data Lake that will simplify and automate information delivery—further providing advanced insights and analysis to support decision making.To date, the team has launched and operationalized several global scale products and dashboards, enhancing how our leaders engage in information to manage the business.

The Data Analyst role will be an integral part of an Agile team focused on delivering best in class business intelligence driven by data.This role will be responsible for helping to make decisions driven by data leading to the build and implementation of data engineering and analytics capability for BCG as an enterprise.

Responsibilities would include:

• Analyse a demand/request from business stakeholders, with focus on understanding the business value and associateddata to deliver this business value.


• Transform this request into tasks or responsibilities to deliver data as a product.


• Help refine epics and stories to ensure data engineers have solid requirements to work against.


• Understanding multiple data sources and with the help of Senior Data Analyst put together a practical and viable data model and data catalogue.


• Assessing the gaps between the prioritized requirements and the current capabilities. Generating possible solution options and, with the use of an agreed set of design principles, selecting the preferred option to move forward.


• Developing training materials and delivering trainings to end-users

You Bring (experience & Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systemsor a related field. MBA Preferred, but not required


• Good knowledgeinSQLcoding and understanding of data modelling.


• Good knowledge on at leastone coding language like Python, Shell Scripting, Java etc. Python preferred.


• Preferred:An understanding on ingestion tooling, transformationand reportingtools like Fivetran, DBT and Tableau is a plus.


• Preferred: Should have understanding of a relational database.


• Preferred: Should have a basic understanding of cloud framework.


• Sound analytical skills combined with excellent communication skill

YOU'LL WORK WITH

As a member of the Data Tribe Team, you will interact extensively with a diverse range of stakeholders from across the business, both geographically and functionally. This includes, but is not limited to Local, Regional, Global teams. Being part of the Global Data Tribe team, coordinating and working with our other core productsquads will play a large part in this role.
