Job Description
- The Lotus Ventures is embarking on an innovative civil development project in South Bengaluru, designed with a strong emphasis on sustainability and eco-conscious features. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Supervisor / Project Coordinator to oversee the construction and implementation of this unique project.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and supervision of the construction site for this significant civil project. This role requires meticulous monitoring of project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, approved designs, and all relevant compliance measures. A key aspect will be the seamless coordination with architects, specialist consultants, and contractors to ensure the project is delivered successfully and sustainably, meeting all quality and budgetary targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution & Site Supervision:
- Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring work aligns strictly with project plans, design specifications, timelines, and incorporates designated eco-friendly methodologies.
- Supervise the site workforce, including subcontractors, ensuring productivity and adherence to safety and environmental protocols.
- Implement and enforce strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations, ensuring full compliance with all applicable codes.
- Manage on-site resources, including materials (prioritizing sustainable options where specified) and equipment, ensuring optimal utilization and availability.
- Ensure the construction site is well-organized and maintained, minimizing environmental impact.
Quality Assurance & Control (QA/QC) & Compliance:
- Conduct regular and thorough site inspections to monitor progress, identify and address any safety hazards, quality issues, or deviations from sustainable design promptly.
- Implement QA/QC procedures, including material testing (as required) and verification of construction quality to meet industry standards and project specifications.
- Ensure all construction activities and completed work align with approved design specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
Coordination & Communication:
- Serve as a primary point of contact on-site for architects, engineers, environmental consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and other vendors.
- Effectively communicate project updates, challenges, and recommendations to the management of The Lotus Ventures.
- Coordinate with architects and specialist consultants to ensure design specifications, including all eco-features, are accurately implemented, and manage any design clarifications or modifications.
- Liaise with contractors to ensure efficient workflow, resource allocation, and adherence to contractual obligations, with a focus on sustainable construction practices.
Quantity Surveying, Estimation & Billing Support:
- Assist in preparing initial project estimates and managing Bills of Quantities (BoQ) as directed.
- Measure and meticulously track material usage on-site, conduct cost analysis, and contribute to maintaining budgetary control.
- Assist in monitoring project expenditures, ensuring the project stays within the allocated budget, and tracking cost implications of eco-features.
- Review and verify contractor invoices and measurement sheets against work completed and BoQ.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed and accurate project documentation, including daily site logs, progress reports, inspection records, QA/QC reports, site photos, and records of sustainable practices implemented.
- Track project milestones and ensure timely completion of deliverables, reporting any deviations.
- Ensure all documentation and compliance records related to specified eco-features, safety, and sustainable building standards are meticulously maintained.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 2 to 3 years of experience in site supervision, project coordination, or a similar role in civil construction projects.
- Strong understanding of civil construction processes, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, engineering plans, and technical specifications, including those related to environmental features.
- Experience in quantity take-offs, supporting estimation, and BoQ management.
- Demonstrable experience in coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors; experience with environmental consultants is a plus.
- Working knowledge of QA/QC processes and material testing procedures.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with local construction and environmental regulations in Bengaluru will be an advantage.
