Job Description
- GFS has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer interested in advancing their career in a fast-paced Global Practice specializing in high-tech building design, Piperack, equipment foundations, and construction. As a part of a multi-discipline team, you will be providing engineering services for facilities projects in various sectors such as hyperscale Data centers, Food & consumer products, Pharmaceutical, Life sciences and technology, Healthcare, Manufacturing, and Institutional facilities.
The Senior Structural Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting design projects to develop world-class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments across a variety of projects. Your responsibilities will include leading the structural design of projects from the conceptual phase through completion, analyzing and designing superstructures and foundations for industrial facilities, reviewing geotechnical reports, collaborating with other disciplines and stakeholders, managing project scope, budget, and schedule, and ensuring quality and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead structural design projects from conceptualization to completion, meeting project needs and requirements.
- Analyze and design superstructures and foundations for industrial facilities, including steel and concrete buildings.
- Review geotechnical reports and equipment vendor drawings.
- Capture internal client requirements and advise on structural solutions to meet their needs.
- Coordinate with other disciplines and stakeholders to develop clash-free system designs.
- Manage assigned scope within schedule and budget constraints.
- Monitor quality, budget, and schedule KPIs for projects.
- Mentor and develop team members, supporting the Section Manager in various tasks.
- Provide senior-level technical input and act as a technical advisor.
- Ensure adherence to QA/QC processes and safety policies.
- Conduct performance appraisal meetings and provide feedback to team members.
- Lead, guide, and instruct the Structural engineering practice, mentoring less experienced engineers.

Qualifications & Skillsets:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's in Structural Engineering is an advantage.
- Minimum 10-15 years of working experience, preferably in EPC projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel to support inter-departmental initiatives.
- Strong people management skills and a commitment to career development.
