Head Of Internal Audit

We are seeking a distinguished Head of Internal Audit to join a leading FMCG client, reporting directly to the Audit Committee. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for directing the full scope of internal audit services in alignment with organizational objectives and professional standards. You will develop and execute a comprehensive, risk-based annual audit plan, providing vital assurance and insights to enhance risk management, controls, and governance. The ideal candidate will act as a catalyst for improvement, overseeing all audit execution, reporting, and follow-up activities. You will manage and mentor a dedicated team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. This position requires building strong relationships with the Board, C-Suite, and external stakeholders to uphold robust governance and accountability. Your expertise will be crucial in managing special investigations and driving the strategic impact of the internal audit function across the organization, particularly within the GCC and Egypt. Bachelors degree alongside an MBA, CA, CPA, or equivalent professional certification. Minimum of 20 years of experience in Internal Audit, with at least 5 years in a senior management capacity. Demonstrated experience in auditing within a manufacturing environment. Proven ability to design, develop, and execute annual risk-based audit plans. Extensive experience presenting findings and providing assurance to Audit Committees, Boards, and C-Suite leadership. In-depth knowledge of IIA standards, risk management frameworks (e.g., COSO), and corporate governance principles. Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams of 4 or more direct reports. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and financial statement analysis capabilities. Significant internal audit experience within the FMCG or QSR industry. Experience managing audit functions across the wider GCC region and Egypt. Previous audit experience within a Big4 organization. Fluency in Arabic. Proficiency with digital audit tools and data analytics.
