As an Assistant Marketing Manager (Academic) at Cambridge University Press & Assessment, you will be responsible for leading and executing marketing and communication strategic plans aligned with the brand strategy for the Academic Unit in the South Asia region. Your role will play a crucial part in ensuring effective sales and growth through impactful and ROI-driven marketing campaigns.
You will collaborate with various stakeholders, both internal and external, to devise comprehensive marketing strategies to support print and digital sales, trade & channel partners, and institutional customers. Your focus will be on enhancing Cambridge - Academic's brand presence and visibility in local markets, supporting sales teams in achieving budget targets, and ensuring timely production of marketing literature and collateral.
Customer engagement will be a key aspect of your role, where you will engage existing and prospective institutional customers to foster lasting relationships. Organizing end-user awareness workshops and customer engagement workshops will be essential to drive the usage of journals and online books within key institutional customers.
Engaging with authors to promote their books, working on usage enhancement strategies, coordinating journal submission drives, and deploying digital and social media marketing tactics will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will work on e-commerce promotions, content marketing, community development, and email marketing to expand the reach and engagement of Cambridge's academic products.

Your profile should include 5-7 years of marketing experience in a reputed organization, an MBA with additional digital marketing qualifications, and prior experience in marketing within the education and publishing industries would be advantageous. You will also be expected to liaise with finance for timely purchase orders and invoicing and undertake any other duties as assigned by your immediate manager or senior director.
