Job Description
- We are currently seeking a talented and ambitious Business Performance Analyst to join a team dedicated to supporting the C-Suite and Executive Leadership of a Top Ten US Insurer. The position is based in Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, or Kolkata.
As a crucial member of the team, your primary role will involve generating strategic analyses and providing practical recommendations to the C-Suite and Executive Leadership at a Top Ten US Insurance Carrier. The ideal candidate should possess extensive expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization tools. Previous experience in analytics firms and a strong educational background are highly preferred.
Our client is one of the largest insurers in the United States, offering a wide range of insurance and financial services products with a gross written premium exceeding US$25 billion (P&C). They cater to over 10 million U.S. households and more than 19 million individual policies across all 50 states through a network of over 48,000 exclusive and independent agents and nearly 18,500 employees. Our client is also part of one of the largest Insurance Groups globally.
As part of their new long-term strategy, our client aims to diversify their workforce skills and has partnered with Capgemini to establish Shared Services Centers of Excellence in various locations outside the US. One of these Service Centers focuses on strategic and business performance analysis to support Executive Leadership and the C-Suite. The team's work will play a key role in evaluating performance against strategic imperatives and delivering insights to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the client's business functions like Product and Pricing Management, Distribution, and Underwriting.
Key responsibilities of the Business Performance Analyst include:
- Developing and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and offer real-time insights to the C-Suite.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable analytical solutions.
- Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in data analysis, visualization, and predictive analytics.
- Acting as a subject matter expert on data visualization tools and techniques, providing guidance and training to internal stakeholders.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality, accuracy, and accessibility.

The ideal candidate should be proficient in core data analytics and visualization tools, including Excel and Power BI. They should have expertise in data architecture, data flow, data mining, data engineering, data visualization, and reporting. Proficiency in statistical analysis, machine learning models, and experience in analytics firms is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with programming languages such as R, Python, and Alteryx are advantageous.
