Job Description
- As a Senior HVAC Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and drafting HVAC systems for various types of buildings such as hotels, hospitals, office buildings, IT fit-outs, apartments, industries, residential, and commercial buildings. With a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5-8 years of experience in HVAC design, you will have a good exposure to commercial air conditioning systems, operation theatres, kitchen ventilation, basement car park ventilation, cleanroom air conditioning, data centers cooling, earth air tunnel, radiant cooling, geothermal heating/cooling, refrigeration, and central heating.
Your knowledge should include designing systems according to NBC, ASHRAE, and ISHRAE standards, as well as space planning for AHU rooms and chiller plant rooms. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office is mandatory, while knowledge of Revit MEP is an added advantage.
Your responsibilities will include requirements collection, heat load calculation, chiller plant room design, plan and section drawings, space planning, and designing heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems based on client needs and building specifications. You will also be involved in duct sizing design, chilled water piping design, refrigerant piping design, and preparation of documentation such as material take-off sheets and technical specifications.

You should have excellent design skills, the ability to create detailed drawings, and experience in project execution from design to completion. Leadership excellence, problem-solving skills, teamwork, creativity, and adaptability to business requirements are essential for this role. Good written and verbal communication skills in English are necessary as the job involves interacting with clients and managing project sites in Chennai.,
