Job Description
Data Engineer- Celonis
The primary role of the Data Engineer is to Manage, optimize, oversee and monitor the data retrieval, storage and Distribution into the process mining platform. This role will lead the technical strategy and execution to provide trusted, stable, reliable, responsive, and secure solutions and proactively inform business partners on process mining platform and problem resolution. This role will have expertise in data movement from various source systems, database technologies, support data analytics and Machine Learning (ML) / Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities. This person will work collaboratively with Shared Services, IT Teams, Cloud teams, DPE Segment teams, DPE Value Teams and business users to solve business problems and deliver solutions.
Accountabilities
- Identify the best method for data collection, ensure the data quality, and work together with the stakeholders responsible for the data input to ensure we can correctly measure and track all necessary information.
- Set up and maintain data models/structures that would be the basis for analysis and work closely with segment teams to generate Celonis Apps
- Set data dictionary and maintain data governance on the created structure
- Collaborate with IT system experts to ensure the IT systems are set up correctly to gather all relevant information and support the most effective data structures
- Maintain and extend existing Celonis data processing pipelines
- Responsible for the End-to-End Celonis implementation
- Designs process & company specific analysis and supports the initial value realization
- Transform / Configure the source data into Execution Management format through SQL/ETL methods
- Own data integration, data requirements, and data models that support analyses
- Configure KPIs in Celonis and create dashboards based on requirements
- Ensure technical specifications are aligned with both business needs and technical design standards
- Partner with external consultants, solution providers, and managed services organizations to enable product/solution development as well as meeting documented standards
- Interact with multiple organizations to track project progress, identify risks, communicate risks and status to leadership, and to assess potential impacts to the business.
- Generate ideas and suggestions for process and technical improvements for platforms and processes supported by the team
- Ensure platforms and tools meet or exceed data security standards, including internal and external audits performed
- Willingness to become a techno-functional expert in the solutions being implemented.
- Use strong verbal and written communication skills that non-technical business and end-users can understand.
- Develop best practices for solution and tool frameworks, leveraging standard naming conventions, scripting and coding practices to ensure consistency of data solution.
Qualifications:
- BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field
- 3-5 years experience preferred
- 3+ years of Data Warehouse/Data Lake development experience preferred
- Advanced experience with data platforms including GCP, SAP HANA, My SQL and SQL Server preferred
- Knowledge of BI Reporting and Data Discovery tools.
- Experience with business-critical applications.
- Experience on large-scale implementation programs preferred.
- Experience with SAP or integrating to SAP is mandatory
