Deputy Medical Superintendent

Principal Accountability: The Deputy Medical Superintendent (DMS) will support the Medical Superintendent in managing medical affairs, supervising clinical services, and ensuring adherence to quality patient care protocols. The role involves assisting in onboarding medical personnel, maintaining budgetary controls, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing the Medical, Clinical, and Allied Health Services of the hospital, ensuring seamless operations in OPD, IPD, Surgery, Diagnostics, and Emergency services.

• Support the planning, administration, supervision, safety, quality control, and statutory credentialing of all medical departments.
• Manage the induction and onboarding of new medical personnel in coordination with the Medical Superintendent.
• Ensure efficient utilization of hospital resources (human, technology, and materials) while optimizing Return on Investment (ROI).
• Implement and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all clinical specialties, ensuring compliance with NABH and other regulatory bodies.
• Establish effective communication channels through meetings with medical departments and support staff to enhance coordination.
• Handle clinical governance, medico-legal cases, patient grievances, and critical incident documentation in collaboration with senior management.
• Identify and introduce innovative, efficient, and productive measures to enhance clinical performance.
