Experience: 18+ Years (Exclusively in Real Estate)
Qualification: LLB / LLM (Male preferred)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Legal Head to lead the Legal Department of a reputed Real Estate organization. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned legal professional with deep expertise in End-to-End Legal Governance, RERA compliance, Regulatory Liaisoning, Litigation Management and land acquisition for large-scale residential and commercial developments.

This is a leadership role requiring strong business acumen, risk management capability, and the ability to independently handle complex legal matters across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Leadership & Governance

• Lead and oversee the entire Legal Department and manage all legal affairs related to real estate development, sales, and corporate operations.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior management on legal risks, compliance frameworks, and high-value transactions.
  • Develop and implement internal legal policies, SOPs, and compliance systems to strengthen governance standards.

Contract Drafting & Transaction Management

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements including:
• JV Agreements
• MOUs
• Development Agreements
• Sale Deeds & Lease Deeds
• Vendor & Construction Contracts
  • Provide legal structuring support for strategic partnerships and large transactions.

Land Acquisition & Due Diligence

• Handle complete title due diligence and property documentation.
  • Coordinate with external advocates for title verification, search reports, and legal clearances.
  • Provide risk analysis and advisory on land acquisition transactions.

Regulatory Compliance & Liaisoning

• Ensure compliance with:
• RERA Regulations
• Stamp Duty & Registration Laws
• Municipal & Local Authority Regulations
• Environmental Laws
  • Represent the company before statutory authorities, tribunals, and courts as required.
  • Liaise with government bodies and regulatory departments for approvals and compliance matters.

Litigation & Dispute Resolution

• Manage civil, criminal, consumer, and arbitration matters.
  • Develop litigation strategies to protect company interests and minimize risk exposure.
  • Coordinate with external counsels and monitor case progress effectively.

Legal Advisory & Business Support

• Stay updated with changes in real estate, corporate, taxation, and regulatory laws impacting the business.
  • Provide proactive legal training and guidance to internal teams (Sales, CRM, Projects, Finance, etc.).
  • Support business teams with legally sound and commercially viable solutions.

Key Requirements

LLB / LLM from a recognized university
Minimum 18+ years of experience exclusively in Real Estate (Residential & Commercial)
Strong expertise in:
