Manager / Senior Manager - Banking Alliance (Cross-Border Payments Business)

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned payments professional to join our Banking Alliances team, owning the cross-border payments vertical at Cashfree. This role spans the full breadth of our international payments portfolio — including PA-CB, LRS, inward and outward remittances, and IPG. The person in this role will own strategic partnerships across banks, card networks, payment switches, and ecosystem partners, while working closely with internal teams to build and scale our cross-border business.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage strategic partnerships across banks, card networks, payment switches, and ecosystem partners for Cashfrees Cross-Border Payments business
• Identify and evaluate new partnership opportunities, capabilities, and revenue streams to support business growth and platform resilience
• Lead onboarding and integration of new partners end-to-end — including commercial negotiations, compliance reviews, legal agreements, and operational setup
• Drive partner-side execution for cross-border products including Imports, International Payment Gateway, FX-related offerings, and new payment initiatives
• 
  Navigate regulatory and ecosystem changes by coordinating with partners and internal stakeholders to implement required process and product updates
• Manage ongoing relationships with external partners to improve payment success rates, operational efficiency, and customer experience
• Collaborate with Product, Compliance, Operations, Finance, and Legal teams to launch new capabilities and ensure seamless partner integration
• Maintain strong working knowledge of cross-border payments — covering PA-CB regulations, FEMA/LRS, RBI guidelines, and IPG operations — and stay aware of regulatory and ecosystem developments that may impact the business

What Were Looking For

• 5–10 years of experience in payments or fintech, with meaningful exposure to cross-border payments in the Indian context
• Strong working knowledge of the PA-CB regulatory framework, LRS mechanics (purpose codes, AD bank flows, Form A2), and RBIs oversight of cross-border payment aggregators
• Familiarity with IPG operations — international checkout, DCC, multi-currency settlement, and acquirer routing for inbound transactions
• Proven experience managing banking or network partnerships — comfortable leading commercial negotiations and engaging senior stakeholders at banks and card networks
• Understanding of card network rules (Visa/Mastercard) as they apply to cross-border transactions — authentication, liability shift, chargeback management
• Ability to work across internal functions (Product, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Legal) and drive execution through influence rather than authority
• Strong analytical skills — comfortable with data, failure trend analysis, and building business cases

Nice to Have

• Prior experience at a payment aggregator, AD Category-I bank, or fintech with a cross-border product
• Familiarity with SWIFT, correspondent banking, or nostro/vostro account management
