Senior Analyst - Finance Automation

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Analyst - Finance Automation to drive automation and process optimization across the Finance function. The role will focus on eliminating manual processes, improving financial controls, and building scalable automation solutions for reconciliation, settlements, reporting, and accounting workflows. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in a Payment Gateway, FinTech, or Digital Payments organization and possess a strong understanding of payment operations, finance processes, and automation technologies.

What You Will Do:

• Identify opportunities to automate manual finance processes across reconciliation, settlements, accounting, reporting, and financial operations.
• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using tools such as SQL, Python, Power Automate, RPA (UiPath/Automation Anywhere), Excel VBA, or other workflow automation platforms.
• Partner with Finance, Product, Engineering, Operations, Risk, and Data teams to build scalable finance automation solutions.

• Automate payment reconciliation across banks, payment partners, merchants, and internal ledgers.
• Build automated dashboards and MIS reports to improve financial visibility and decision-making.
• Streamline month-end and year-end financial closing activities through automation.
• Improve financial controls by implementing automated validations, exception handling, and audit trails.
• Drive ERP and finance system enhancements by collaborating with internal stakeholders.
• Analyze finance processes and recommend technology-driven improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Document automation workflows, SOPs, and process improvements while ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
• Monitor automation performance, troubleshoot issues, and continuously optimize existing workflows.

What You Will Need:

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in Finance Automation, Finance Transformation, Financial Systems, or Process Automation.
• Prior experience in a Payment Gateway, FinTech, Banking, or Digital Payments organization is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of finance operations, payment settlements, reconciliation, accounting processes, and financial controls.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Power Automate, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Python, SQL, VBA, or similar technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a process improvement mindset.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across Finance, Product, Engineering, and Operations teams.
• Experience in dashboarding and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of payment lifecycle, settlement flows, merchant reconciliation, and payment gateway operations is highly desirable.
• Exposure to financial audits, internal controls, and compliance requirements will be an added advantage.
