Senior/Lead Python Developer With FastAPI, AWS

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Python / Lead/ Architect to design and lead the development of scalable, high-performance microservices using FastAPI on AWS. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in handling large-scale data processing with Vertica, and a strong background in architecting distributed systems and leading engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technology lead With Handson experience of the development of microservices-based applications using Python and FastAPI.
• 
  Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient systems on AWS (ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.).
• Build and optimize data pipelines and services that interact with large datasets in Vertica.
• Collaborate with data engineers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Define and enforce coding standards, architecture principles, and best practices.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure system performance, reliability, and observability through monitoring and logging.
• Lead the migration of legacy systems to modern, cloud-native architectures.

Preferred candidate profile

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in backend development with Python.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with FastAPI

• Strong experience in designing and deploying microservices architectures.
• Proficiency in AWS services and cloud-native application design.
• Deep understanding of Vertica or similar columnar databases for large-scale data processing.
• Experience with AWS ECS, Fargate, Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, security, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and analytics workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security best practices.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Contributions to open-source projects or technical blogs.
