Shift Supervisor - Paintshop

Job Summary:
A leading manufacturer is seeking a the Shift Supervisor / Production Engineer Paint Shop will be responsible for managing daily production operations in the paint and surface treatment areas, including liquid painting, powder coating, pre-treatment, and finishing processes. This role demands technical knowledge of paint systems, leadership in managing large teams, and adherence to quality, EHS, and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct daily shift meetings to record attendance and assign tasks based on PPC plans.
2. Lead and supervise a team of 3070 associates in paint shop operations.
3. Monitor workstations such as blasting, painting, pickling, powder coating, zinc plating, chromicizing, and buffing.
4. Ensure product quality as per drawings, specifications, and ISO/EN/ASTM standards.
5. Prepare and maintain daily production reports and quality records.
6. Offer completed products to QC and ensure clearance before moving to the next process.
7. Maintain discipline and ensure effective utilization of manpower and resources.

8. Conduct tool and equipment condition checks; report maintenance needs to the Sr. Engineer.
9. Ensure proper disposal of hazardous waste as per EHS norms and maintain related documentation.
10. Monitor and record standard vs. actual time for all production activities.
11. Escalate maintenance or process-related issues through the DHT ticket system.
12. Ensure all ISO checklists, business deployment boards, and QMS documents are updated per defined frequency.
13. Drive process improvements for efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
14. Approve leave requests and manage shift-level manpower allocation.
