Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Commission Analyst to manage and oversee the calculation, analysis, and reporting of sales commissions. The ideal candidate will work closely with GTM teams, finance, and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely commission payouts, align compensation plans with business goals, and provide insights to support strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Commission Processing & Calculation:
- Accurately calculate and process sales commissions based on individual and team performance metrics.
- Ensure commission structures comply with compensation plans and company policies.
- Reconcile discrepancies and address commission-related queries from sales representatives.
Data Management & Reporting:
- Maintain and update commission data in systems like Salesforce (SFDC), Excel, or commission platforms
- Generate detailed reports on commission payouts, sales performance, and attainment metrics.
- Analyze trends to provide insights on sales productivity and compensation effectiveness.
Compliance & Audit:
- Ensure commission payments align with corporate policies, legal guidelines, and SOX compliance.
- Assist in internal audits and support financial close processes by providing necessary documentation.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with sales leadership, finance, and HR teams to align commission plans with business objectives.
- Support the rollout of new compensation plans and provide training to the sales team on commission structures.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline commission processes for greater efficiency.
- Assist in the implementation of commission software and systems integration.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree required
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and project management skills
- Basic understanding of sales compensation structures and terminology
- Strong knowledge of sales incentive compensation concepts and hands-on implementation experience
- Act as a point of contact for the sales team, answering questions and resolving issues related to compensation, commissions, and payouts.
- 1-2 years of experience in commission analysis, sales operations, or a related financial role.
- Experience with Salesforce (SFDC), Excel (advanced functions like pivot tables, VLOOKUPs), and ICM tools like Everstage, Xactly or SPIFF is a plus.
