Junior Quant Researcher

Job description / Role

Charterhouse is partnering with a billion-dollar systematic hedge fund based in Dubai who are looking to hire a Junior Quant Researcher. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the quant research process with a focus on predictive models.

The Junior Quant Researcher’s main responsibilities will be conducting quant alpha signal research whilst ensuring that the latest academic research is being followed and analysed correctly. Additionally, this role will be building analytical tools to supplement the research framework. The Junior Quant Researcher will be in charge of all aspects of the research process including idea generation, data analysis, hypothesis development and testing, alpha discovery, trading strategy generation, back testing and portfolio analysis.

To be considered for this role, the successful candidate must have a Masters or PHD in Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. Programming in Python and SQL is a must and working knowledge other programming languages is desirable.
